You're probably overwhelmed at this point after days of researching how to homeschool. I know that feeling because years ago I was once in your shoes.
Here are the steps I created to get started:
Find out what the requirements are to be legal to homeschool in your state.
Every state has different homeschool laws.
STEP TWO: Withdrawing from School
STEP THREE: Keeping Records
STEP FOUR: What to teach
STEP FIVE: Connect with Fellow Homeschoolers
STEP SIX: Reporting & Testing
STEP SEVEN: End of the Year Report & Renewing Membership
I hope these steps will help you as it did me. I was so overwhelmed with what to do and where to go and how to and, and, and, and, and…..
The hardest part though was realizing that YES, I CAN HOMESCHOOL! Once you get over that hurdle the rest is easy as 1-2-3! And don’t let anyone else tell you or convince you that you cannot homeschool. It’s the best thing you can do for your kids.
Don’t get me wrong though, homeschooling is not for everyone. But if you’re able to, I say, give it a shot! It may just be the best thing you do for your family.
So let’s get started and take out any kinks ahead of time so they don’t trip you up later. If you have any questions at all, let me know.
